Nursing Assistant (HHA)
Tri-level Nursing Assistant/Home Health Aide Program
A course designed to teach basic nursing skills and beginning interpersonal relationship techniques to entry-level students. This course is recommended for students planning to continue their education into the Nursing Program.
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to provide basic nursing care to patients of all ages under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse within the following settings:
- Nursing Homes
- Hospitals
- Home Care
Note: This course meets Federal and State guidelines for nursing assistant and home health aide training.
About the Program
Classes are held at Cape Cod Community College. Payment Plan is available.
- Day courses meet 3 mornings a week for 15 weeks.
- Evening courses meet 3 evenings a week for 15 weeks.
- Supervised clinical practice in nursing home and hospital settings.
- CPR and First Aid certificate course included.

Admissions Requirements
- Attendance of an Information Session
- High school diploma, GED, or permission of the program coordinator
- Completed application (obtained at an Information Session)
- Pass a CORI/SORI (Criminal/Sexual Offender Record Information)
- Meet college medical and immunization requirements
- Meet the Nursing Assistant Program's Technical Standards
Note: Failure to provide the immunization documentation will prevent you from taking the CNA course.
