Unemployment Reporting Requirements

For Current and Future Students

Current and potential students that have applied for or are receiving unemployment benefits or working with any of the following: MassHire, Workforce Investment Opportunities Act (WIOA) Individualized Training Account (ITA), Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA or Trade), should be aware that there are requirements to reporting any current or pending education or training. A student application for the Section 30 Training Opportunities Program (TOP),  must be completed by the College to continue to receive unemployment benefits while earning an approved degree or certificate.

For questions about dislocated worker programs please contact your local MassHire Career Center (link listed below) for eligibility questions.

Students already receiving unemployment benefits or TOP extended benefits, or who recently exhausted benefits, might qualify for additional benefits through the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). PUA information changes, so please be certain to confirm information directly with PUA.
