Biodiversity of Belize

Coast of Belize

More than a quarter of the 9,000 square miles that make up Belize are under a carefully managed system of reserves. During the trip, guests will explore biodiversity in the country, and will become familiarized with those reserves.

Over the course of eight days, guests will:

  • Visit and hike through the Belizean jungle
  • Swim in St. Herman’s Blue Hole
  • Bird watch
  • Travel to Punta Gorda to visit the Mayan archaeological site of Nim Li Punit
  • Snorkel in Placencia
  • Get introduced to the Reef Eco System
